Fathered to father

To raise a child is a high privilege for a man. You are awarded the role of father. It is not a burden but a privilege. A privilege to invest in a future generation by planting trees in whose shade you may never sit. This #FathersDay, be firstly and firmly established in the Fatherhood of God towards you. The Fatherhood of God is seen in Mark 1:11, where he says to the Christ:

“You are my Son, whom I love, with you I am well pleased.”

You are my son. It means Christ is accepted by His Father. Christ then willingly sheds His blood on your behalf. If you accept that sacrifice, the Father accepts you as well, on account of Christ. You need do nothing to be accepted. You simply need to receive the free gift of His love. Rejection stings. Jesus accepts the sting on the cross so that you would never be cast away despite the worst of your sins on the table.

Whom I love. The Father affirms the Son verbally and assures his affection. The Son then willingly takes your place on the cross and grants you His affectionate position freely. Every affirmation He deserves is credited to you. All that receive the free credit, know intimately that the Father loves them to death, literally.

With you I am well pleased. The Father is pleased with Jesus and appreciates Him. Jesus then willingly transfers the record to you when He sheds His blood on your behalf. The Father is now pleased with you and appreciates you because you are under that blood.

Acceptance, Affirmation and Appreciation feeds your relationship with your Father in Heaven, through Christ. Give these three to your children as a man. It is given better when you are receiving them from on high. We are fathered to father. Accept, affirm and appreciate your children, whether your own or adopted; because after all, the Father does the same to His own (Jesus) and to his adopted (all who are born again).
